I look forward to 'getting to know you' but in the meantime, here is a bit about 'me' !
I have been married to my husband Cameron, for nearly 33 years and we have a 29 year old son, Elliot, and 2 gorgeous rescue dogs, Betty & Ted.
We live in the West Country, just outside the beautiful and historic City of Bath, but we spend as much time as we can at our holiday home in West Somerset, which overlooks St Audries Bay, with its stunning natural waterfall, which is actually on the beach.
Dogs are a massive part of our lives as Cameron is a fully qualified Dog Trainer & Behaviourist, and up until recently, I ran a Doggy Day Care business from our home. I no longer do this as I'm too busy being a Celebrant these days, but we do offer a very unique Dog Chaperone Service, which - if you have a dog you would like to attend your Wedding - you might find useful.
I am extremely down to earth and love anything to do with 'nature' - hence my name ! I appreciate the 'simple things' in life and I'm never happier than out with my dogs, enjoying the British countryside, listening to the birds singing or watching the sun setting over St Audries Bay.
I have a bubbly sense of humour, and I do like a hug ! I am very creative - I love to paint using watercolours or acrylics - and during the first lockdown, I painted every day and sold some of my work on-line, to raise money for the Covid 19 Charity - although I didn't raise 'quite' as much as Captain Tom !
I'm very into interior design and ‘making things’ for our home - whether that's sewing, up-cycling furniture or cutting up bits of wood to make something useful and I have been known to suddenly decorate an entire room on a whim ! I'm always up for learning new crafts - and I have tried most things - from felting to willow sculptures. I'm currently enjoying pottery classes and love being 'on the wheel' - which is much harder than it looks on The Pottery Throwdown !
Having come from a Project Management background, I'm extremely organised and there’s nothing I can’t turn into a spreadsheet !
I trained to be a Celebrant with the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants (FPC), I am full Member of FPC, and also a member of the International College of Professional Celebrants (ICPC).
I was recently invited up to the ITV studios in London, to have a makeover with GOK WAN - as a special treat - to celebrate the fact that my Celebrant business has taken off beyond my wildest dreams. I am so thrilled to be so busy and in demand and this was a wonderful treat, an amazing experience (to be on 'live' tv) !! and a truly magical day. The last time I felt so special was on 'my' Wedding Day - 32 years ago !!!!
I don't usually wear such bright colours - so this was 'way' out of my comfort zone, but I felt fabulous and enjoyed every minute. I even wore this dress to officiate one of my ceremonies !
